This was a great hotel experience for us! First, the location is great. It'll require either a private water taxi or a vaporetto to get there. We took a private taxi (with a company which was recommended by the hotel but honestly the company wasn't great-- we had to wait for a really long time and then the driver was frustrated and very rude, especially to my older mother) but honestly you could figure out the vaporetto with not much difficulty (that's how we got back to the station at the end of our stay). Once you get there, you're very close to a LOVELY piazza which isn't TOO crowded but still has great cafe, restaurants, and gelato options. Plus you're in an area totally walkable to the places you probably want to visit. The staff is SO friendly and helpful. I can't say enough about the hospitality. The rooms are fun, spacious, and comfortable. The air conditioning doesn't get very cold, though, and the rooms were pretty humid. It wasn't an issue during our stay because it wasn't too hot, but even so, our room never went below 25°C, even with the air on. Plus there were quite a lot of mosquitoes in the room and I left the property with quite a few bites on me. That said, I would totally stay at this property again, just probably not in the hottest season.
The hotel was nice and in a great location. It’s an older hotel and looks and smells like it a little bit but it has a classic look. We had the room right next to reception but the woman at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. The room was clean and in good shape the only issue was with the air conditioning. We knew we couldn’t put it below 20 Celcius because it won’t work if it’s more than 10 degrees different than outside which is completely fine with us they tried to fix it but said that the screen was wrong or that imit just reads the temperature in that corner not the rest of the room but both of our nights we stayed there the screen said anywhere from 24-26 Degrees and it felt like it.
Great location, close to everything. The hotel is a bit old and there is no elevator, so in case you are on the third floor you have to climb the stairs with your luggage.
I had low expectations because in Rome, I thought I booked a great hotel (the excellent reviews), and it was awful. Ai Cherubini exceeded my expectations. It’s a beautifully decorated, quaint hotel on a quiet street, yet so close to the busy areas. The hotel transports you back into time from the reception area to the rooms. Spacious rooms, gorgeous decor and everything functioned like it’s supposed to. Great lighting, QUIET and a comfortable bed and pillows. Only thing is that the two beds that were put together to make a queen, kept sliding. But a small complaint for such a lovely hotel. I loved the quality robes they provided, the small but delicious biscuits laid out on an adorable Italian dining table, and I appreciated the mini fridge. The staff was great, too. Helped me with the waterbus and the housekeeping was very good, too 🙌🏼🙏🏾. I’ve stayed at great hotels with good reviews and bad hotels with good reviews. This hotel is one of those with true reviews. Thanks for a fantastic stay.
