We had a wonderful stay that felt like an authentic Venetian experience. The hotel owner helped organize a water taxi for us and immediately greeted us upon arrival and gave us a quick tour and recommendations for our visit. Every staff member was extremely friendly, kind and accommodating; they all greeted us by name. It felt like 5 star service. The breakfast was delicious and it was a lovely experience to enjoy coffee and pastries on the balcony overlooking the Rialto. It was such a great way to see the famous bridge without being in the mix of the tourists. The location was convenience, since it was close to all the popular sites, as well as the quieter, local neighborhoods within Venice.
My husband and I can't say enough good things about Hotel Al Ponte Antico and the wonderful team there. We stayed there as our first stop on our honeymoon, and it was beyond our imagination. The hotel is stunning, we had a dreamy view of the Grand Canal, and our room was so luxurious we felt like royalty. But more importantly, every single person on the Al Ponte Antico team is so special, warm, talented, and genuinely hospitable. They are the heart of this magnificent place on earth. We will go to bed tonight dreaming of having Matteo's perfectly scrambled eggs and Barbara's delicious cornetti in the morning. Thank you all a million times over. We can't wait to be back.
Al Ponte Antico is the place where everyone knows your name. The Al Ponte Antico is everything everyone else has already written. From the superb location to the sublime terrace overlooking the Rialto bridge. I wish I was back on that terrace having an aperitif right now. Gigi, Alex, Oliver and the wonderful owner Matteo will make you feel more than special, they will make you feel like old friends. Some of my best memories were just hanging out at the front desk talking to the guys. It felt more like staying at a friend's house, than a hotel. The location is perfect in a central location close to everything in either direction and they have their own dock making a water taxi so convenient from the airport. Staying here was the best decision I made during my trip to Venice, Florence and Rome. Also trust their restaurant recommendations. I researched so many restaurants beforehand and the best dinner I had was at a restaurant they recommended. When I go back to Venice there is no question I'm going right back to the Al Ponte Antico. This is truly one of those exceptional experiences you'll cherish. Thank you all for making our stay there so special. We miss you all.
There’s a reason this hotel receives reviews filled with praise beyond words. Even though it was our first time here, Matteo and every member of the staff already knew our names and greeted us so warmly. Their kindness genuinely made me think about the kind of person I want to be toward others as well. I thought I had experienced many great hotels before, but this was the first time I was truly moved by the service. The coffee and breakfast every morning were absolutely exceptional. Because the hotel is relatively small and intimate, it feels even more warm and welcoming. And the view overlooking the Rialto bridge is simply beyond description. Choosing this hotel was the best decision we made in Venice, and thanks to everyone here, these memories will stay with us beautifully for a long time. If I ever return to Venice, I would come back here again without a second thought.
Words truly cannot describe how absolutely wonderful our stay at Al Ponte Antico was. From the very moment we arrived via water Taxi from the airport, we experienced nothing but first in class service, food, drink, and accommodation. Gigi, Oliver, the owner Matteo and the rest of the staff were friendly, helpful and simply amazing all around. I have traveled the world and stayed at many places and this hotel was one of the best experiences I have ever had. The location is perfect and the hotel itself is perfectly tucked away to escape from the crowds (when you are ready to) We stayed in one of the lower floor suites and the view of the canal was like something from a dream. I can't recommend this hotel enough and quite frankly, will only be staying at this hotel whenever in Venice moving forward.
