Reviews
We loved our stay at Ca’ Gottardi! My husband and I had the best time and we were so looked after by their friendly and attentive staff. We were so lucky to be able to try the room next to the breakfast room (the red room), a beautifully styled room with a water view. It felt very romantic and with everything you wish for from a hotel room. After check-in the hotel also provide you with a paper note including the wifi and recommendations for restaurants, bakeries and pizzerias. We tried some of the suggestions and they were very on point on what we were looking for. We had everything we needed for breakfast, a nice spread of juices, ham, cheese, salami, eggs, toast, pancakes, a great selection of jams and desserts. The hotel also have water and biscuits 24/7 if you are feeling a little peckish on your way back from your walks in Venice. A massive shoutout and huge thanks to Paola for looking after us so well during breakfast and for making us lovely capuccinos to start our days and a very nice touch from the manager of the hotel for saying Buongiorno while we were coming out for breakfast in the morning, it felt very familiar and a friendly space to stay at. The location was excellent for us, just a few minutes walk from St Mark’s Square and Rialto Bridge and the fact that Cannaregio is an area where locals hang around the most you could also find better food choices and get lost in a more local Venice life which we absolutely loved. Lastly, on our way to the station we visited the Venetian Ghetto as it is so close to the hotel. You could leave your luggage at the hotel and go before your depart, but if you rather taking the luggage with you you could also use Store My Luggage near the station and works out very well if you are stretched with time. Our stay was truly special and we can’t thank the hotel staff enough for their kind hospitality. We would come back to visit again without a doubt and recommend this place to other travellers looking for an affordable and beautiful accomodation in Venice.
I stayed at the small double room this April and the hotel is lovely. The best part: the staff, especially Harry. He tried to help me with the only “problem” I encountered, which is that the AC is not turned on until May so I had to leave the window open, and he went out of his way and came back with two small fans, which unfortunately didn’t work hehe, but oh well I had a good sleep anyway. The hotel is located in Cannaregio (the best area to stay; quiet, more local). The hotel offers free cookies and croissants, as well as lemon water to all guests so you can relax from the small balcony in the salon. I would definitely return when in Venice.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very friendly, and our room was beautiful with a unique interior design. During the day we could order free coffee and enjoy cookies or sometimes cake. The breakfast selection was small, but it had everything you need and everything was delicious. During our check-in we selected a time slot for breakfast (8-9am). The location is also very good.
We absolutely loved our stay at Ca' Gottardi! The building itself is stunning — so beautiful and elegant. The staff were incredibly kind, the breakfast was great, and the location couldn't have been better. Honestly, it was hard to leave. One of the best hotel experiences we've ever had — highly recommend!
Great location, nice rooms, staff were lovely. Few minor things in room need attention (very squeaky bathroom door, hairdryer didnt work, shower head needs attention). Otherwise, would recommend for stay in Venice.
