Fabulous little place a stroll from the station down a shaded side street. Beautiful old building with a good lounge to shelter from heat and wait for train. Room was unique with comfy beds, decent aircon and good facilities. Staff are very friendly. Good baggage storage. Breakfast is a real treat with a really unusual selection of high quality ingredients. I could not recommend this little gem more highly.

Located within a 5-minute walk of Santa Lucia Station, this hotel is conveniently situated with a water bus stop right nearby. The hotel staff were friendly, and with a wide variety of breakfast options, it was a very satisfying stay. The only downside? I guess it would be the lack of a shower curtain.

Our family had an incredible stay at Hotel Abbazia! Five star level hospitality with attentive, caring staff who went above and beyond to help our children and us feel comfortable. The room was large and perfect for our family of 4 with a king size bed, two twins and a separate room with a couch. There was a beautiful courtyard and the building was also beautiful. Not to mention it was so conveniently located walking distance from the train station and a great place to start to explore Venice. We recommend and will stay again!

Stay here. It's an old converted monetary with all the expected woodwork and stonework There is a huge collection of murano glass too. And The breakfast, to pine for! There are so many selections including cecheti (little tapas like edibles on bread unique to Venice). The rooms and beds are comfy. 2nthings to be aware of, the alley (it's a street in Venice) looks a little rough around the edges. It's fine (I am from Philly and only worked in the tough parts of town). Don't worry. In the morning. At 715 am and 815 am, the local church will ring its bells. One more thing, the bathtub has no shower curtain. This is an authentic experience. This is fine too, just be careful getting in and out of the tub, no mat. There is an elevator .I would stay here again!

We have stayed in Hotel Abbazia for 3 nights while exploring Venice. Have chosen the hotel for it's historic value, charm and remained extremely pleased with our stay and overall experience. Our room was spacious, well equipped with everything we needed for our stay, newly and charmingly decorated, extremely clean. It overlooked the inner garden and rest of the Abbey. The breakfast served was plentiful with huge variety of hot dishes, cold cuts, cereal, fruits, pastries and freshly baked cakes. Every day there would be some changes to variety served, which was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast room itself had a communal feeling to it leaving plenty opportunities to meet other people, connect and have a little breakfast conversation. Hotel had a charming bar and resting/ relaxing area, which we absolutely wanted to use, but were not able to due to all the other things we have planned throughout our stay. Hotel staff we have met during our stay was extremely kind, polite and had attention to detail in everything they did. I can't recommend this hotel enough and hope to come back and stay during any future trips to Venice. It's an absolute gem offering excellent value for money. Huge Thank You to hotel management and all the staff for a fantastic experience and stay!
