Reviews
I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for the best possible location (see the picture attached - that's the view when you stay in front of the Marconi hotel) :) Our kids were super excited to stay in a such nice hotel - they told me they are feeling like they were royalties;) The breakfast was also very delicious and croissants were top of the top (best I have eaten during our whole 2.5 weeks long stay in Italy!). On top of that, the price was really normal if you take into consideration the location, view, and the standard. Worth to mention that in Austria we were paying the same price for a night in a really ugly place. Highly recommend Marconi hotel :)
Very friendly staff. The rooms are very small and you have to climb a lot of stairs. The breakfast is very very good. It's in a very good location as far as being able to walk to a lot of things it's Central but also a very crowded location.
I am not able to comment on the rooms as we did not stay. But can I please complement the lovely staff that made us feel very welcome when we used to go for coffees and Affogato. This was one of the nicest locations for refreshment. Enjoy the atmosphere of that central Rialto location with lovely views of the canal activity and the tourist bustle. We were offered canal side seating even during dinner session and staff were always helpful to answer question about their drink options etc. Keep up the great work.
No elevator—if you get a 4th-floor room like I did, be ready for a serious climb. The room was dirty, outdated, with peeling walls, and the reception staff were rude and unhelpful. The only highlight was the tasty breakfast pastries, but overall service was poor, especially when it came to providing drinking water.
Other than location, there is nothing great about this hotel. We traveled on a vacation with family (2 kids) and came from the US and were shockingly surprised but the size of rooms, cleanliness, service and overall comfort. There was so much noise in the night during sleep and we couldn’t have a good sleep. Tried calling house keeping for another pillow but no one answered. People, overall, usually don’t greet you and stay grumpy for whatever reason.
