The room was small but clean and had an adjoining sun terrace with Great views. The staff was available 24 hrs and helped with everything i asked. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and had many vegan options which i enjoyed. The hotel was located on a quiet serene square but very close to unlimited shops and restaurants. Everything about my experience at this hotel was positive.
Cozy and quaint hotel at a beautiful location walkable from all interesting spots in Venice. The top floor family suite was perfect for our family of 4. Two rooms (living room and bedroom) with a door in between and a tiny balcony you could step on to and see the canal down below. The furnishings were very pretty and quaint as well. The rooms brought the spirit of Venice to our stay as they were not your standard hotel rooms. Breakfast was simple but nice. Staff were very hospitable. Walk from S.Angelo with small suitcases was manageable. S.Angelo was an easy connection both from Marco Polo airport and Venice’s main train station. Absolutely loved this stay. Highly recommend!
This is a little gem hidden in a very amazing part of Venice, near the theatro (theater) where you can see amazing plays, there’s a couple of swanky restaurants, and bars, and the hotel itself has a restaurant and a bar available which are also very beautiful in case you are tired from exploring and do not want to wonder out very far. Nicoló was the person who helped us check in and also out, when I say he is a wonderful human being I am not saying that lightly, he is hospitable to the core and made our stay a wonderful experience. I can’t say this enough, but if you are ever out here in Venice at least go check out their little tavern even if you don’t stay in the hotel. It is a wonderful experience
I really wanted to love this place - Beautiful location, great breakfast, wonderful staff. The complaint - The mattress in the room was a killer. Made for the worst three nights of sleep Ive had so far in Italy. Hard to believe a hotel would still be using 40yr old mattresses. But maybe I slept on the same mattress Pavarotti, Corelli, or Freni slept on. That would have been worth not getting sleep for three nights. Updated- I was wrong about the date the mattress was manufactured. The manager kindly clarified the mattress was newer. We still found our bed uncomfortable but I edited my initial comments and gave the hotel a more favorable 4 star listing.
What a lovely architectural design and wonderful atmosphere this cozy place offers. The antique-style interior made me enjoy using the stairs quite often. Not only because of the beauty of Venice, but also because of the superb hospitality of the hotel staff, my stay was truly memorable. Although I stayed in a small single room, it was more than sufficient for a solo traveler. The breakfast was delightful as well. If you have large or heavy luggage, I recommend taking a water taxi from Santa Lucia Station to S. Angelo port. It'll be less than 10 min slow walk to the hotel. It was very kind of the staff to inform me that I could leave my suitcase at the hotel before the check-in time. The superb location!!!
