Stayed here for two nights. The first impression was excellent with attentive and friendly staff at the front desk. The room is well decorated and spacious enough at Venice standard, with a nice view. The free shuttle service to the Murano Island with a little glass factory tour was an excellent bonus. Yet, some staff members were clearly ill trained, particularly the breakfast team. We were declined an outdoor seat due to “pigeons”, while apparently there were lots of other guests sitting outside, some even took our initial seat later on. When requested for a clear reason from their manager, all we got was an innocent and annoyed face saying she had no idea why this happened with no intention to fix anything or apologise. Their breakfast price also magically varies a lot when you ask different persons, so. Overall this hotel is on the upper scale but clearly not luxury. The location is not the best but the price is well compromised compared to other good hotels in town. Just don’t expect a high level of hospitality from here.
It was ok. The bartender Rachel was amazing though. She made the most creative and perfect cocktails. Not sure I would stay at the hotel again but I would definitely go back for Rachel's cocktails. Perfection. She is also super friendly
I came to NH Collection Venezia with a lot of excitement to spend two nights in Venice with my girlfriend. I rarely leave reviews because I’ve been fortunate to stay at many great hotels over the years, but I felt this experience was worth sharing so future guests know what to expect. I booked this hotel through the American Express Platinum Travel portal, where I’ve consistently had great experiences, so my expectations were high. Unfortunately, this stay fell well short of what I’d expect from a property at this price point. The first issue was the air conditioning. Our room, which cost around $800 per night, never cooled properly. We spent the first night uncomfortably warm and ended up sleeping without the blankets. Maintenance came to the room that evening and again the following day, but the issue was never resolved. The second night was even more disappointing. There was a wedding taking place at the hotel, and the event space on the second floor is directly connected to or very close to the second-floor guest rooms where we were staying. The music was extremely loud late into the evening, making it very difficult to relax or sleep, especially with the room still being warm from the unresolved air conditioning issue. The staff was polite and did try to help, but unfortunately the problems were never fixed during our stay. For a hotel charging this level of premium pricing and marketed as a five-star experience, I expected much better. Venice itself is an incredible city, and we had a wonderful time exploring it. It’s just disappointing that our hotel experience didn’t match the quality of the destination. Based on our stay, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again, and I can’t recommend it at this price.
From the meticulously manicured gardens to the luxurious water taxi shuttle and everything else in-between, Palazzo dei Dogi is five star across the board. The Canal View room was absolutely beautiful and palatial. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were staying in a royal retreat. The historical markings across the property were well thought out we enjoyed feeling like a part of history. Having the shuttle for guests really makes staying in Canareggio easy. Thank you for making our first visit to Venice so special. We would love to stay again!
We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the terrace of the NH Collection Grand Hotel Venezia, even though our visit was short. The atmosphere is elegant, relaxing and perfect for enjoying a few moments of peace in a beautiful secret garden. A big plus is the staff, especially Maria, who was extremely kind, attentive and professional. She made us feel really welcome and contributed significantly to the entire pleasant experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality service and a great atmosphere in Venice. We will definitely be back!
