This place is a real gem. Very nice to find a proper bar, rather than a tourist trap in a place like Venice. We only went for drinks, but the Aperol Spritz and the atmosphere were great. The drinks were 13€ cheaper than in the centre. Also quality music choices!
Their cocktails are good, but one of their waiters has an attitude and talks rudely. I think he’s not happy with his job. Also, they don’t clean the tables. I still have the glasses left by the previous customer.
Delicious cichetti - the bread is toasted and crunchy and the toppings so flavorful (one of the best baccala mantecato we had in Venice). We also loved the drinks and the casual friendly atmosphere - the staff was always super nice, the music was not too loud so you could talk and it was nice to hang out there
When you visit Venice (I am speaking it into existence for you) you will find many Bacaro’s…do yourself a favor and try one out! If you happen to find yourself in the San Polo neighborhood…stop in to Bacaro al Ravano! There is indoor and outdoor seating. A few drafts on deck as well as cocktails. The small bites are delicious and the service was great! Other reviews have commented about Giovanni…he was there when I visited and let me tell you he makes a fantastic drink!
