Description

Journey from Venice into the UNESCO-listed Dolomites on an intimate small-group tour limited to eight guests. Travel by comfortable minivan to Cortina d’Ampezzo, the chic alpine capital framed by serrated peaks. Continue along panoramic mountain roads to the crystal lakes that make this region famous. At Lake Misurina, enjoy ample free time to stroll the shoreline, capture mirror-like reflections, or relax at a lakeside café. In summer, you can add the Col de Varda chairlift (≈€13 pp, not included) to reach a classic mountain hut with wide-angle views over Misurina and the dramatic Sorapis and Monte Cristallo massifs. Nearby Lake Antorno offers quieter alpine scenery and superb photo stops. Throughout the day, your driver-guide selects the best scenic viewpoints to admire the iconic Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Three Peaks), whose vertical walls and soaring spires symbolize the Dolomites. Expect unhurried pauses for photographs, short walks, and storytelling about local history, geology, and traditions before an early-evening return to Venice (around 6:00 pm). From late autumn through winter, the itinerary highlights Cortina, the fairytale setting of Lake Braies (Pragser Wildsee), and the charming village of San Candido/Innichen near the Austrian border. When in season, you’ll have time to browse its Christmas markets, warm up with hot chocolate, and soak in the festive alpine atmosphere. This curated route blends must-see landmarks with hidden viewpoints, delivering a relaxed, premium experience in Italy’s most spectacular mountain range.
