Highlights

- Away from the crowds
- A truly unusual Venice
Description
Venice has always been a unique melting pot of races and religions, which coexist while maintaining their uniqueness and mutual respect. This tour will take you to those areas of the city where you can still immerse yourself in the fascinating atmosphere of the Orient. You'll reach Campo San Bortolomio, next to the Rialto Bridge, an area that for centuries has hosted a traditional market with the characteristic layout of Middle Eastern souks. But the real 'spiritual' start of the tour will be Campiello del Milion, where Marco Polo's house once stood and from where he set off on his epic journey to the East. Then you'll head towards the Cannaregio district, admiring the Church of the Abbey of Mercy and the Madonna dell'Orto along the way, a meeting point between Eastern culture and the Renaissance art of Tintoretto, who had his studio here. In this area, you'll immerse yourself in a truly oriental atmosphere and admire the Palazzo del Cammello, the statues of the Moors, and the oldest ghetto in the world, still inhabited by Venice's Jewish community and one of the most evocative places in the entire city.Includes
