Description

Meet your guide at the historic Rialto Fish Market, one of Venice’s most authentic spots. Wander among stalls piled high with fresh seafood on crushed ice, listen to fishmongers calling out their daily catch, and choose the best fish to cook later. Next, cross the Grand Canal just like local Venetians do—aboard a traditional gondola ferry. It’s a quick but unforgettable way to experience Venice from the water. Stroll through the quiet “calles” and fondamente of Cannaregio—one of the city’s largest, most residential districts—away from the tourist crowds. From Fondamente Nove, catch a vaporetto to Murano. Arrive at a private Venetian home overlooking a peaceful canal, where you’ll prepare a full seafood lunch together. Start with organic sun-dried tomatoes and Italian vegetable antipasti, paired with a classic Spritz. Then, enjoy spaghetti alla Busara (spaghetti with stewed crayfish and tomato) and oven-baked sea bass with potatoes and aromatic herbs. Finish with Italian moka-brewed coffee and local liqueurs. After lunch, feel free to explore Murano at your own pace—or hop back on the vaporetto to visit colorful Burano. You’ll receive tips for self-guided exploration, or contact your guide to arrange a private guided extension.
