The owner is very friendly and arranging chair for us. I want to try cicchetti so i order one of each kind. He made 12 cicchetti freshly made for order. All are delicious. I also order hot chocolate which is very good also. We ordered pizza too but i haven't tried it yet, since we so full from the cicchetti. We sit facing the river and watching boats passing through. The atmosphere is very nice.
Today I had my “250th” pizza in Italy (okay, maybe not literally lol). From Rome to the Amalfi Coast to Venice, we’ve eaten a lot of pizza on this trip but Al Balcon Pizza was in a league of its own. It wasn’t just the pizza. The gelato, the stunning view, the atmosphere, and the whole experience were outstanding. Michele, the owner, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He made everyone feel at home and was especially great with the kids, which made the visit even more special. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop here. Easily one of the highlights of our trip to Italy.
We came in for drinks and pizza and stayed for that plus the service! We got the prosciutto crudo & buffala and the diavola pizza and they were both very tasty! Muamed was our waiter and he was so friendly and welcoming! He made sure we had everything we needed and more! We would definitely go back!
Our first meal in Venice, and the food, service, and cocktails/beer were all fantastic. Our server Michael was wonderful - great sense of humor and helpful in our selections. The cicchetti were so good (especially the shrimp and creamed cod), and the cuttlefish pasta was also delicious. Great location right on the canal in Cannaregio.
The owner is very friendly. The atmosphere is great where you can peacefully seat by the canal to enjoy your time. As usual, we ordered cicchetti as we are in Venezia. The owner prepared 10 pieces for us. All of them are very fresh and tasty. To our exception is the four cheese pizza that my son ordered, we never came across such great taste. The base of the pizza is little crispy and not tough. We can tell from the pizza that the chef has very good control of baking skill.
