Hotel A La Commedia
Venice
レビュー
I stayed at Hotel A La Commedia twice in May 2026 - first for three nights in an Executive Suite before my cruise, and then for one night in a standard room after the cruise. The Good: The staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional throughout both stays. The location is outstanding - just steps from many of Venice's major attractions while still providing a quiet and comfortable retreat. The Rialto Bridge is about a five-minute walk away, and St. Mark's Square is about seven-minute walk away in the opposite direction. Numerous restaurants, cafés, shops, and several high-end boutiques are located right outside the hotel. The Executive Suite was reasonably spacious by Venice standards, while the standard room was quite small, though comfortable. Both rooms featured excellent bathrooms with modern fixtures, strong water pressure, and bidets. The Bad: There was really nothing significant to complain about during either stay. The Mixed: If you want to be nitpicky, the hotel - although very centrally located - is not directly on the water and offers no direct water views, even from its rooftop terrace bar. Having said this, it is only about 2-3-minute walk to Grand Canal and to Alilaguna stop (Rialto) and water taxi stand. Summary: Hotel A La Commedia is a very good four-star hotel in an excellent location. It offers comfortable accommodations, attentive service, and easy access to Venice's main sights. I would stay there again without hesitation, especially if I could book one of the suites at a reasonable rate.
Great hotel, ideal location near Rialto bride and water taxi stop. Shared triple room which was clean and very comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom and bath accessories. Staff were pleasant enough, but a couple a bit rude, but maybe just language differences, not sure. Didn't help or advise properly with water taxi booking as we had late arrival (first time in Venice and stranded at airport on arrival and I'd asked for help from hotel, they said always water taxis but this wasn't case, I would book ahead next time)and they didn't leave drinking water in room for arrival at 2am (free bottled drinking water is put in room every evening) so that's why not 5*.
We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Commedia in Venice and ended up extending our visit because we enjoyed it so much. The location was great - 4 minutes to Rialto bridge, 6 minutes to St. Mark’s square. The service is impeccable. Every member of the team was kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. It felt like the staff truly cared that guests were having a great experience. Our room was beautiful — almost like staying in a small castle. Our good-sized room had lovely décor, elegant wallpaper, a canopy bed, and even a balcony, which made the space feel special and very Venetian. One detail we particularly appreciated was the bathroom, which was unusually spacious for Venice — almost half the size of the room. It had a comfortable bathtub with all the amenities you might need and thoughtful touches like a small table for toiletries and a chair, which made getting ready very convenient. Even the shower curtains were designed to look like castle windows, which was a charming and creative detail. Overall, a wonderful hotel in a great location, with beautiful rooms, thoughtful design, and exceptional service. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Hotel Commedia to anyone visiting Venice.
So pleased after lots of searching we found this hotel Fabulous location, easy to get to and local to all the main tourist attractions Staff offer a perfect balance of polite and friendly without being over the top Seemed check in process Room was great. Queen size bed and fabulous mattress - had great sleeps Very clean Breakfast was a good quality buffet style and had all we required I would happily stay here again I have absolutely no complaints
was a perfect last stay of my mine and my husbands honeymoon. the front desk staff was very knowledgeable about the city and was able to explain the water taxi routes to help easily get around. our bags were helped up by a bellhop and we were shown to our beautiful expansive room. the hotel location itself was in a perfect spot; everything seemed to be an easy 5-10 minute walk away. unfortunately the rooftop bar was closed so we’ll have to come back in the warmer months to enjoy it! would highly recommend this spot to everyone!
