Great place to have a bit of a break on Carnevale day. Gets a bit crazy and was quite wet outside. Great tramezzini selection and wines and a very friendly atmosphere. And it wasn't too crowded. My favourite was the mushroom and sopressa combo. But the octopus variety was also very nice. Tough choices.
Delicious spritz and chiccetti just off the tourist trail, feels like a hidden gem. I came on a food tour but then came back the next evening and it was just as good, really friendly service and good value.
We stopped at Alla Fonda on a food tour, so I won't be able to fairly rate the service. The establishment felt like a classic cicchetti stop on the busy streets of Venice. As part of the food tour we had a hard boiled egg with anchovy which I personally was not a fan of, and a porchetta and pickled onion sandwich which was really good! Overall I would suggest stopping by considering they had so many options!
This is one of the best Cicheti’s we had while in Venice and we found it from our local food tour! Do not let the outside for you, this place is the real deal and has some of the most incredible sandwiches you’re going to get in town. They had the best sparkling red wine as well that we found on the entire trip. They are red onions are super sweet and we loved everything except for the anchovies (not for us) Definitely make it a stop if you’d like something small and quick
