Ca' Amadi

Beautiful small hotel in Venice! We were very happy with our stay, was just like in the photos. Right on a canal, so you wake up with the noise of boat traffic…which is so unique that you can’t complain. Great soap! Breakfast was tasty but limited in options. Had some gluten free. Would recommend.
Exceptional stay at Amadi Hotel! The welcome was very warm and made us feel comfortable right away. The room was beautiful, with a stunning view over the canal , such a pleasure to wake up to. Everything was well equipped, nothing was missing. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the Rialto Bridge, making it easy to explore everything on foot. Highly recommend! 🥰
Location is perfect as a jumping off point for exploring Venice on foot. We stayed on the first floor room overlooking the canal and it was magical, really immersive with the gondoliers floating by all day. Note, that specific room requires going up and down a flight of stairs but it's well worth it. Our host Maria was friendly and helpful in answering our questions. This hotel is quiet, with not many other guests and the staff weren't around 24/7, which we liked. Despite being right off one of the main tourist thoroughfares coming from Rialto Bridge, this hotel is quite peaceful with it's own secluded entry courtyard. Would absolutely stay here again!
My stay at Ca’ Amadi in Venice was unfortunately very disappointing, especially considering the price point (around €200 per night). The main issue was the condition of the sofa bed. Although I had explicitly booked a room with a bed and a sofa bed, the mattress was completely worn out — deeply sunken and essentially unusable. To make matters worse, the extra blankets provided were visibly stained with what appeared to be moisture or mold, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. When I contacted the staff late in the evening to ask for bed sheets for the sofa bed, I was told that reception was closed and they would not be able to assist. While I understand that late requests can be difficult to accommodate, what was disappointing was the lack of effort or basic guidance. When I explained that my father would otherwise have to sleep without sheets, the response felt dismissive and ended with a simple “good night,” without any attempt to help or suggest a solution. As a result, my father had to sleep without proper bedding, on a mattress in very poor condition. This is simply not acceptable at this price level. To add to the experience, the check-out process the next morning was equally underwhelming. The staff appeared uninterested and there was no sense of hospitality or even a basic courteous interaction. It’s a shame, because the guesthouse itself has charm and character, and the view to the canal is beautiful. However, service is a fundamental part of the experience, and in this case it was clearly lacking. I moved to another hotel the following day and can confidently say that Italian hospitality is indeed warm and welcoming, just not here. I would not recommend staying at Ca’ Amadi based on this experience.
