We had such a great experience at this bar & restaurant! The staff were incredibly nice, friendly, and very welcoming. They even gave us something off the menu, which made the experience feel extra special. We had the meat and cheese platter, the Spritz Select, and the Spritz Campari — everything was excellent. Highly recommend this place for both the food and the lovely atmosphere!
Wow, happened upon this place by chance as the intended venue down the canal had a huge queue. We enquired for a table and were told very sorry, full inside but welcome on the canal, which was not a problem for us. We were brought a menu and ordered drinks, an Aperol Spritz for the lady and on the owner’s recommendation, a Campari-based alternative for me which was spot on. Drinks arrived along with some salty crisps. The owner then came back to take our order and kindly said they could get us a table inside shortly if we preferred. This was much appreciated as it was a little chilly, although we didn’t mind being outside. The food was the best we’ve had so far on our holiday, delicious, clearly homemade, with beautiful bread on the side and a far cry from the awful tourist traps scattered around Venice. More drinks followed and an absolutely to-die-for tiramisu to finish. The owner and staff made our evening so welcoming and we seemed to be the only tourists there, which we loved. We’re always happy to support local, family-run places like this. We paid the bill, shook hands with a friendly “ciao” and left already knowing we’d like to return. A truly authentic Venetian experience, grazie mille per tutto, torneremo sicuramente. Let’s keep this one on the lowdown! far too good to become a TikTok hotspot!
What an amazing local find! Service was astounding a the vibe was over the top local. Everyone was friendly and the wine choices were well priced and well chosen! They give free chips as a snack but the cicchetti was amazing! Didn’t try the food but would say that you would not be disappointed! It’s off the beaten path a bit which does it even more charm!
The best cichetti I had in two days in Venice at both price point and quality. The bacallà mantecato and porchetta are both divine and simply a step above even the decent places in San Marco or elsewhere. Great seating right on the canal, extremely friendly service, and most of the clientele was seemingly Italian. I would hate to ruin this place with more tourists but it really deserves the love.
