£1.80 for a Cappuccino in the middle of Venice. Great service from all staff and a nice relaxing vibe to get away from the heat.

I started my morning with a stroll along Venice’s canals before stopping into Adagio for breakfast, and it turned out to be one of those simple travel moments I’ll remember long after the trip. The café has a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, with great music playing in the background and locals easing into their day over coffee. While it was unmistakably Venetian, it also reminded me of a cozy café you’d stumble upon in the Pacific Northwest or a mountain town—warm, welcoming, and somewhere you’d happily linger. I ordered a cappuccino and a cornetto al pistacchio, and both were excellent. The cappuccino was rich and beautifully balanced, while the pistachio cornetto was buttery, flaky, and generously filled. I also enjoyed chatting with the two gentlemen behind the counter, who were friendly and welcoming and made me feel like more than just another tourist passing through. After breakfast, I wandered back toward my hotel along the canals, taking in the quiet morning before the city fully came to life. It was one of those perfectly unhurried moments that captures the spirit of Italy. If you’re looking for an authentic Venetian breakfast with great coffee, delicious pastries, and a relaxed local atmosphere, Adagio is absolutely worth the stop. It was, quite simply, a perfect Italian morning. 🇮🇹☕🥐

So so good!! Great espresso. Cichettis are amazing (white fish was my favourite), but the fried cheese and the fried meatball were even better. One of our favourite places in Venice! Their drinks also looked amazing but didn’t get a change to try.

Fully deserving of its already high rating. We visited twice already and might come again on our final day. Location is great, overlooking the basilica. Staff are really friendly. We tried a few different wines and they were all great - my favourite was the Pecorino. The cicchetti was also tasty, especially the fritti. All of this was really good value - €3 to €6 for wine and around €4 for cicchetti. Would recommend!
