We had an awesome stay at Corte Canal Venice. The person who manages everything himself, was incredibly helpful, friendly and supportive throughout our stay. His hospitality made us feel very welcome and made our visit even more enjoyable.
Honestly, I stayed here with my family for the price of a bunk bed in a hostel. Comparing the options - you cannot find anything better for the price. Yes, the hotel is run down and the lobby might look odd, don't look into the kitchens. But the rooms and the bathrooms were clean and spotless, and we stayed in multiple rooms. Access is easy, and the hostpitality is good - the host was kind enough to allow us store the baggage for free. No bedbugs spotted.
I spent three nights at Corte Canal and had a wonderful stay. The owner was incredibly friendly and attentive while showing me around; since he speaks good English, I had no communication problems. My room had a very cozy vibe and included all the essential amenities. The bed was a particular highlight, which was perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring Venice! I especially appreciated having a sink in my room; while the bathroom is shared, it was never an issue and I still felt I had plenty of privacy. The location is excellent, just a 5–6 minute walk from the train station, making it easy to reach everything. I highly recommend staying here!
