PICNIC Burano
Venice

After wandering the colorful streets of Burano, we stumbled upon Picnic. The outdoor garden seating was charming, relaxed, and just steps from the water. The Aperol Spritz was refreshing, the drinks were cold, and the cicchetti (Venetian-style small bites) were delicious. We loved trying a variety of toppings—from creamy cheeses and pesto to prosciutto and pistachio. Everything tasted fresh and paired perfectly with our drinks. What really made this place special was the atmosphere. Sitting in the sunshine, sipping cocktails, and enjoying a snack while taking in the colorful surroundings of Burano felt like a true Italian vacation moment. If you’re exploring Burano and need a place to relax, have a drink, and enjoy some authentic Venetian bites, this is absolutely worth a stop.
If, like us, you take an early boat to Burano (advisable, as the island fills up very quickly after 11 or so), this is the perfect spot for a rest after strolling along the canals, streets, and squares and taking in your fill of the colourful houses and maybe even the lace museum. The coffee is great, we had some "esse" biscuits (divine) and tasty savoury snacks. One really good thing is the location at the edge of the island, facing a lawn and the water, much more relaxed than in a street café!
Stopped here to grab a quick snack and have a break. Food was nice but could have more vegetarian options. The location was stunning, right by the grass and sea, spectacular views.
