A beautiful street and location, not too busy and not too quiet. It’s a perfect location for those who want to be away from the busy St. Marks where an espresso is way over priced. Vino Vero, has great priced wine, excellent foods to complement, and very attentive staff. Also, no hang over from the organic wines. We will be coming back on our next Venice stay.
Took the vaporetto and got off at the Casino stop in a lane behind - 10-15min. Walk is Vino Vera. Had to visit given the reviews and hype. Yes there is a line but the staff work quickly and it did move. I was lucky to get a ledge by the window inside with the AC and where I could take in the action. Alessandro is a gorgeous looking young waiter who was so kind. Once I told him I had a disability, he made sure I was comfortable and kept Checking on me when he went by. The Chicetti is absolutely amazing. Loved the combinations they offer. I relished the seafood options. Highly recommended.
If you want wine and cicchetti in Venice, uou have to come here! They have an incredible selection of wine and cicchetti and wine by the glass, and amazing people to help. So nice! So helpful. So professional. They make for an incredible experience. I very highly recommend stopping there for way too many wines.
What a lovely place! Tourist friendly but full of locals as well. Nice natural wine by the glass for every budget. Lovely food as well. Staff was super friendly and accommodating, I personally enjoyed the atmosphere and my glass in the sun. The surrounding area is more low key and great to explore a more local neighborhood. Will definitely recommend this place to my friends! Cheers from Madrid Spain :)
We do love Cicchetti and some bar-hopping. And this is a new place we've discovered this time around in Venice. Location is very nice, right at a pretty trendy canal, filled with lots of restaurants and bars. Right next to is an excellent gelato place. It's quite small inside with few tables, many just hang around outside - and why not, the location at the canale is a pretty spot. We did manage though to get some seats inside. Our Bulldog was very welcome here as well. The various cicchetti are presented at the counter. There are some classics of course, but also some very innovative creations. We went for the latter. There was gorgonzola with strawberry, radicchio with brie cheese, pesto topped with an anchovie and mushrooms, mashed fava beans with pulp and mashed fava with goats cheese and a cherry. All really wonderful combinations. Our favorite were the radicchio and the fava/goat cheese. Surely something to recreate back home. Staff was very friendly, we felt very welcome here. And instead of focussing on Aperol, Select and Prosecco, it's mostly about white and red wine here. And they have an excellent selection of wine. Not all cheap, but definitely worth the money. We especially loved the Pinot Nero "Terre di Giotto". A brillant cicchetti bar. Definitely a place we come back to next time in Venice.
