Spent 4 days there. The hotel entrance is next to a chocolate shop you go up the stairs ( not a problem with only 1 bag of luggage) maybe a bit harder for older or people with big cases. There is a small service desk we was stood there for over 10 minutes as none about ( to check in) we finally checked in and then headed up more stairs to our room. At first it seemed ok as just a base to rest /sleep when we got tired. It was a double bed inside and then across the hallway was our shared bathroom so toilet and shower, ( not really a problem, we knew we had booked a shared bathroom) the room is very basic with little inside. Double bed a sink/ wardrobe. In our room the there was balcony doors but couldn't open them as the door handle was snapped off. The 1 window we had that opened up onto the balcony was piled high with boxes dirty items, so it couldn't be used and we didn't want our window open then. There was a tv ontop of the wardrobe but no remote, we did ask them but they just said its not in there someone has prob robbed it. ( not sure why people do that) after our full day of walking around and getting wet we wanted a shower but the water was really cold they had no hot water, so went to reception and there was 2 other people complaining about no hot water or heating and they was leaving the hotel to book into an other, the shower head was snapped off so we told them, they told us to wait 30 mins and there will be hot water and the problem fixed. After going back for a walk as we had nothing to do in the room we had hot water but the shower head was still broken. ( they didnt fix it) The location was good but after looking around there are a few more hotels that look nicer and better that the one we had. We was on the main walk way to the train station / bus station and loads of shops and restaurants on our door step.
First room we got was full of mold (room 7). Second room (room 11) was okay, but very dirty and full of ants. The balcony was horrible, sheets hanging everywhere and trashbags. The AC was broken and only blew hot air like a sauna. Okay value for money, cheap for the location.
