Description
Experience canyoning designed for families in Val Maor, located at the foot of the Dolomiti Bellunesi. This guided activity takes place in a secure environment suitable for children aged 5 and up when accompanied by an adult.
The canyon features water-shaped rock walls, lush vegetation, and natural lighting, creating a landscape reminiscent of Jurassic Park or Avatar. Access begins with an 8-meter rope descent to the canyon floor from a tributary.
The adventure starts with two natural slides, measuring approximately 6 and 3 meters, that end in clear pools similar to Mexican cenotes. After this section, the route flattens out along 90-million-year-old rock formations, with mostly horizontal passages including natural slides, brief walks or swims, and assisted sections.
The total canyoning duration is around 1 to 1.5 hours. Entry and exit points are accessible, making it suitable even for beginners. The experience begins with a safety briefing and equipment fitting (wetsuit, helmet, harness), followed by step-by-step guidance from a professional instructor.
No prior experience is required. This activity offers an engaging, active way for families to enjoy the natural environment safely.
