Description

Discover the magic of the Venetian Lagoon on this unforgettable boat tour to three of its most iconic islands: Murano, Burano, and Torcello. Known around the world for their unique traditions, artisan crafts, and colorful landscapes, these islands offer a fascinating glimpse into the cultural soul of Venice. Your journey begins near Piazza San Marco or Santa Lucia Station, where you will board a comfortable boat and cruise across the beautiful waters of the lagoon. As you travel through the historic San Marco Basin, your guide will introduce you to the history, culture, and traditions of the lagoon and the islands you will visit. The first stop is Murano, internationally famous for its centuries-old glassmaking tradition. Here you will visit a traditional glass factory and witness the incredible art of glassblowing, where master artisans transform molten glass into delicate works of art. After the demonstration, you’ll have free time to explore the island and admire its elegant canals and artisan shops. Next, you will visit Torcello, the oldest inhabited island of the lagoon and a place of great historical significance. With its peaceful atmosphere and ancient monuments, Torcello offers a fascinating contrast to the lively energy of Venice. The final stop is the charming island of Burano, known worldwide for its brightly colored fishermen’s houses that line the canals like a living painting. During your free time, you can stroll through the picturesque streets, discover traditional lace craftsmanship in local shops, and taste some of the island’s famous homemade pastries. While the guide will accompany you during the boat journey and introduce each destination, the time on the islands allows you to explore at your own pace, discovering hidden corners and local traditions that make each island unique.
