Description
• Location and Atmosphere: It takes place at Palazzo Soranzo (Venice), in the historic location where Casanova met Senator Bragadin. The space is lit by candlelight to faithfully recreate the atmosphere of the noble palaces of the 18th century.
• Musical Ensemble: The program is performed by a chamber duo composed of Violin and Piano.
• The violin represents Casanova's restless soul.
• The Piano (which replaces the harpsichord of the time) serves as the harmonic base.
• Program Structure: The concert is divided into three acts that retrace the stages of Casanova's life:
• Act I: The Mists and the Canals (The Origins). It includes music by Antonio Vivaldi (Symphony in C Major RV 112), the soundtrack of the Venice of his childhood, and Tomaso Albinoni (Adagio from Concerto Op. 9 No. 2), which evokes the melancholic elegance of the city.
• Additional details: The musicians perform in mid-18th-century Venetian period costumes.
It is a musical journey designed to bring the secrets and passions of the Venetian eighteenth century to life through the music of the composers that Casanova himself knew or listened to
