Description
Start with a private hotel pickup in Rome to catch an early train to Venice. Upon arrival, board a private boat for a cruise through Venice's lagoon to experience its unique islands.
Visit Murano, famous for its glassmaking, and watch a demonstration of artisans crafting glass artworks and chandeliers. Then explore Burano, known for its brightly painted houses and delicate lacework called “merletto.”
After the island tour, your driver will take you to St. Mark’s Square where you will have three hours to explore Venice’s historic center on foot. Key sites include St. Mark's Basilica, Doge’s Palace, the Bell Tower (exterior visit), the Bridge of Sighs, and the Rialto area with its ancient fish market and iconic Rialto Bridge.
If you want to experience a gondola ride, your guide can arrange it last minute; remember to bring €90 in cash for the gondolier. Assistance is provided at the train stations for smooth transfers. The day ends with a private driver transporting you from Venice’s train station back to your hotel in Rome.
