I have never encountered such basic service failures at any hotel, let alone a four-star property. We arrived late at night and were only staying for one full day in Venice. Despite having booked a king-size bed, we were given a queen-size bed instead. Fortunately, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast the next morning met expectations, so this issue did not significantly affect our rest. As a result, we did not bother requesting a room change or seeking partial compensation. However, when we returned to the hotel late the following night, we discovered another problem: there was no drinking water available in the room at all. In most hotels, soft drinks in the minibar are chargeable while bottled water is complimentary. At this hotel, even bottled water became chargeable starting the second night, so none was replenished during housekeeping service. Even more surprisingly, the housekeeping staff did not refill the water jar. I ultimately had to take the jar downstairs to the hotel bar just to get drinking water. To summarize, the physical facilities may deserve a four-star rating, but the service certainly does not. Many aspects of the guest experience seem to have been overlooked, and the staff showed little sense of hospitality or attention to basic customer needs.
❌ Bad Experience (Room 109 – Important Warning) For us, Room 109 was not a good experience. It really depends on the time of year you visit Venice. We stayed in April, with temperatures around 15–21°C (60–70°F), perfect for walking—but inside the room it was very hot and uncomfortable. The hotel advertises air conditioning, but this is misleading. They have a central AC system controlled by the hotel, not by the guest. During our stay, it was set to heating, and we had no way to adjust it. Their solution was to open the windows, but this created more problems: * Mosquitoes entering the room * Constant noise from outside (from around 6 AM until late at night) Because of this, we stayed 5 nights and did not have a proper rest even once. It became a very uncomfortable and frustrating experience. 👉 The service is truly 5-star level, but the AC completely ruined the experience. If you need AC to sleep, I do NOT recommend this hotel, and they should clearly update their listings on Booking and Expedia to reflect how their AC system really works. ⸻ ✅ Good Things * Location: Excellent — very close to Santa Lucia terminal and next to a market * Breakfast: Very good — eggs, bread, cereal, and great coffee * Cleanliness: Room and bathroom very clean; towels fresh * Maintenance: Hotel well maintained * Staff: Very friendly, professional, and always willing to help ⸻ ⚠️ Request for Compensation Due to the misleading information about air conditioning and the impact on our sleep and comfort, we formally request partial compensation or a refund for this stay. This was not a small inconvenience—it affected all 5 nights of our stay and significantly reduced the quality of our experience.
Thankyou for our stay. 207. Me end my wife stayed here. Upon arrival, greeted with great manners, help on getting to our rooms. The room was perfect for us, rhe windows close a lot of the noise out and very sound proof. All essentials there, tv, kettle, coffee machine, safe etc. Minibar was free until you needed more. (Please enquire because maybe this was just our package). Breakfast buffet was perfect, with again, great hospitality. Will definitely stay here again! Good location for train station and bus terminal also.
One night stay, great location just steps from the train station. Wonderful staff, breakfast was substantial and delicious. Room was small but accommodating for two adults and one child. Bathroom was large with great water pressure and fluffy towels and robes for all guests. Loved our stay and would recommend!!!
The hotel welcoming is very warm, a cute compact hotel just by the train station. The lobby interior is chic and inviting. The rooms are modern and equipped with all amenities. Only one minus was no air conditioning so the room felt very warm and less ventilated. The noise from the Main Street was disturbing especially during the night, we should have asked for a quieter room. The mini bar use for one time complimentary was a nice touch and personalised prosecco for us was very cute. Housekeeping do an amazing job and attention to detail of cleaning is perfection. Thank you to housekeeping for locating my earring which I lost during my stay. The breakfast offers a vast selection of hot and cold choice, eggs cooked to choice would have been nice as part of the breakfast but these are charged separately. Overall the hotel met our expectations and catered to our needs.
