Residenza de l'Osmarin

My daughter and I stayed at Residenza de l'Osmarin in the Artist Room this summer (2026) for two weeks and we had a wonderful and comfortable stay! The room was perfect for us and the air conditioning made the heat wave bearable. The owner was attentive to any questions I had and the housekeeping staff was wonderful - making the bed daily, taking away the recycling and trash, and replenishing the mini bar and amenities. When we arrive we were greeted by a generous breakfast basket; coffee and tea service were in the room plus a small refrigerator. The room has a beautiful canal view in sunrise and sunset. The location was ideal - close to San Marco Piazza and yet tucked away that you can avoid crowds and tourist generated noise, plus there were plenty of canal-side restaurants steps away. Atmosphere of the place is local and family oriented. The price was excellent; it is a high quality place to stay. Room was immaculate and taken care of daily. The hotel inside and outside is absolutely beautiful; I particularly wanted to stay in a place that gave me a feeling of a Venetian home, it met all my expectations! The interior courtyard is quaint and it was special to take a gondola ride past where we were staying. I highly recommend booking here and I would stay again in the future.
We ❤️ Maria. The room was charming, great view, and incredible attention to detail. She really does think of everything! A welcome basket full of free snacks, a mini fridge with refreshments provided (€2-3 each), hot water heater, tea cups, coffee and tea, a basket in the bathroom filled with shower caps, soap, sewing kit, hair dryer and diffuser attachment, and towels. There are flowers in the room and in each basket. The toilet was sealed when we came in to show it had been cleaned, and everything was tidy and folded nicely. She puts so much care into her work for her rooms. Just beautiful. She allows you to store your luggage, if needed, on the day of check in if you get there early, and check out so you can still do things in Venice on your last day and come back for you bags later. We found the location pretty easily. The gps takes you to the street and you just look at the numbers above the doors to find the address. She gives you the code for the door and you walk down the hallway until you reach the cute mini courtyard where you go through the open door. There are lights in the hallways if you are coming in when it’s dark out. You then go up the stairs until you reach another door with the same code, then up the stairs to your room. There are signs that she has put outside the rooms so you know which room is yours. The self check in is very convenient. Amazing location as well. Just perfect!
