You cannot go wrong by choosing Ca 'Nigra Lagoon Resort. Easy and simple to reach and OUTSTANDING views. The garden alone is worth it. Food and service exemplary. You must ask Narciso at reception for restaurant and activity recommendations. Everything he advised was well worth it and we are very glad he shared his extensive experience in Venice with us.
This was the last stop on my first Italian trip, and what an excellent choice. Beautiful, serene, and surprisingly cool. Staff is very respectful, rooms are great and interior decorations feel modern yet they keep the more historic and elegant feel that the building has. The patio that leads to the main canal is the perfect spot for a romantic cocktail or to just sit down and read with a Negroni on your side as you watch the social life of Venice pass through water, bridges, or sitting at some bacari at the other side of the canal.
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing. The rose garden in the back of the property on the Grand Canal is probably the biggest reason why we decided to stay here, and it did not disappoint. While breakfast is an add on, I would highly recommend as we ate there every day of the week and breakfast was always delicious and their variety was excellent. You can also have your breakfast sitting outside on the Grand Canal! Lastly, I want to personally thank Miriam and Marciso for all their help and kindness - our airline lost our luggage, and they both stepped in to help us call the airport to get our luggage back. Overall, I highly recommend this place! Great food, great location, high standards. You will be in good hands.
I surprised my husband with a stay here for his birthday and we were both blown away by our experience. The location is perfect and, in our opinion, far enough from too much of the tourist insanity and loud crowds; granted, it is still only a short walk to the more touristy areas so the hotel is very convenient. They are able to arrange private watertaxis from the airport and elsewhere which makes getting to and from the hotel easy and convenient. If you stay we, we highly recommend this option as it is expensive, but the most easy and less stress way. The best part of our trip though by far was the amazing bartender, Indrit! He worked the bar each night we were there and was without a doubt the kindest person we met in Venice. His attention to detail and precision were incredible and I don't think I'll ever have as good espresso martinis as his. His happiness and quality made our stay here so much better and special!
Very friendly staff at this cute, clean hotel located a 5 minute walk from the train station and right off the Grand Canal. Great breakfast (extra $). The double room would be a little small for 2 people but it was perfect for just me and would still be fine for 2 if you're mostly out and about. I would return.
