Great stay, friendly staff and simple but confortable room in a quiet neighborhood but still easy to access to/from all around Venice. Booking a canal view room makes it truly special! Breakfast was varied and good. The only negative point for me was the number of pigeons in the patio and the fact that they kept coming on the tables while eating, which made it difficult to truly enjoy the peaceful area.
We had two wonderful nights at this charming old hotel in Venice right on the canal. A very quiet location less touristy than main canal areas. The breakfast included was good and had a beautiful outdoor courtyard to sit in. A gondola stand is literally outside the front door which we did, we also were able to have a water taxi drop us off right out front as well. Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra for the “premium canal view” rooms. We had two rooms and both had the most adorable Juliette balcony looking right over the canal and street ( seemed like the only two rooms with little balconies) My only advice for the hotel is that the bar could be a little more lively - maybe with some music for ambiance to feel a little more welcoming. We had one drink there and left because it was a bit boring and stuffy.
Fantastic location an easy 6 minute walk from Piazzale Roma for transportation and tours and a 15 minute or so stroll into the heart of Venice. Loved the canal side location, especially our room with a little balcony overlooking the bridge and a gondola station. No noise issues from the next door cafe as noted by another reviewer. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Perfect ending to our Italy trip.
We love staying here, we have just returned from our 6th stay in our favourite room, which has a view to die for. Short walk from the drop off, Breakfast has everything you need, the building is beautiful, but the service from all the staff is top draw, friendly, kind and very understanding of my bad Italian... We are looking forward to our stay again next year. Thank you to all who make our stay so special.
Great location on an attractive canal. Staff very helpful, room had canal view through tall narrow window. Bed comfortable, everything worked (not that common in my experience). Ha4d floor was cold on bare feet, free slippers would have been useful. A small armchair would have been good, there was room for one. Breakfast was very good. WiFi not great, connected but with no internet at times. Would happily use again.
