Description

Five-kilometer adavanced workout for adults in groups, couples or single kayakers. Ever sailed under the Venetian bridges, along Venetian canals? Or visited a Venetian rowing club? Venice has a long tradition of water sports, do you know? We are Nicoló and Aleksandra, a young couple living in Venice. Members of a prominent rowing club, we practice water sports every day. We invite you to experience Venice by water with us. Let us show you Venice from another perspective — cultural, sports-oriented and local. Improve your kayaking skills in authentic canals of Canareggio or Castello, beautiful districts famous for the first ghetto in the world, the Medieval Arsenal, Venetian Gothic palaces and Renaissance churches. The trip will include a number of historical components. Sport is history, so explore history through sports as well! Visit the historically important Venetian rowing club, as it is the best place to immerse yourself in Venice's history, traditions, and contemporary life. By participating in our activities, you contribute to preserving this unique and historically significant site. Part of your fee goes to support the restoration and maintenance of the club. What is the program of the class? Visit to the rowing club; Paddling instructions; Training on the water. How many kilometers will we paddle? We will do 4-5 kilometers. Important: Paddling is a sport and requires skills, experience in water sports or other sports. Make sure you meet the requirements and have necessary experience. We will reach out to you to determine your level of experience. In some cases, the guide may transfer your booking to another group that has the same skill level as yours.

Important Information

1. A trainee will be asked to sign a waiver and release of liability. 2. The class can be rescheduled by the instructor in case of bad weather conditions and changes in the club’s work schedule the project is based in. A trainee will be contacted to arrange a rescheduling. The instructor has the right to cancel the class without refund if a trainee does not meet the requirements or arrives drunk or drugged. 3. Physical exertion is required on kayak classes. Your paddling skills should be basic. You should be in suitable physical condition (each paddler must be: less than 120 kg for men, and less than 100 kg for women; and be able to enter kayak cabin size 80 cm long and 40 cm wide). People with serious disabilities and pregnant women after the third month will not be accepted. 4. During the class, we often encounter waves of one foot (30 - 40 cm) as well as other boat traffic. 5. Children can participate, but only in the same double kayak with their parents or instructors.
