Description

This is an sightseeing experience where, walking across an unforgettable skyline, I will accompany you to one very old and typical Venetian “osteria” (restaurant) where you can taste the lagoon's seafood cuisine! Of course, bring your camera due going there you will have the opportunity to see the splendours of Venice by night: enjoing gorgeous squares, places, churches and monuments, but also I'm pretty sure that you will sure understand what is for us, the last Venetians, the real millenary masterpiece of this city and how our traditions and life-styles are still going to survive just hidden behind the most crowed city places; discovering this city for what it really is for us! You will see our Jewish ghetto where the last 450 members are still living here like a lot of century ago. There, I will show how to visit one of their five Synagogs during the morning time and if you wish where to taste their typical “kosher” cuisine maybe for lunch ;) More, I have to show our “lost paradise area”, located in Cannaregio, where the most Venetians are now living and where Residents enjoy their “Apetizer” and “nightlife” time! ( After you will know where is located, I really suggest to came back alone: Venice it is not just “the Rialto bridge and St. Mark’s square”..) With me You will see one of the last five Gondola’s factories here, which family still make our Carnival’s clothes and a lot of more…most important thing: you will discover that it’s not true that Venice it’s a very expensive city: just stay where locals leave… ;) And what about the “Ponte Chiodo”, the ancient city’s bridge and the Venice’s Rialto gran canal, the main “water-street” here, where I must take you a picture?! I'm sure you will love our 'Residents' District' and its unbeatable atmosphere! Please note that we have to walk throw from 6.30 to 8pm more or less. Starting from our meeting point located in Fondamente Nuove and then going to the 'restaurant', in the end, everyone will be free to decide what to do: if you won’t be tired I really suggest to stay with me due the last thing to do could be an unforgettable “social time” in one of the best Venice’s Osteria, where you can try a lot of different and delicious “cikketti” or various typologies of daily fishes and of course, local wine and Prosecco made in the Venice Land! Dinner not include and start from '10euros couple-sharing', but for sure you can eat how much you wish. Just note 'Don't have eyes bigger than your belly' due portions are really very generous. At most I suggest appetizer + first course or appetizer + second course, but no more: in a trattoria they materially make you 'explode on the wall' A full immersion inside the Venetian culture and life style that will be the best way to see and understand which is the strange combination to live here surronded by two totaly different perspectives of life: the touristic and the local one ;) We are the last Venetians, be ready to see thing that no one will see again!

Includes

In the end of the tour: You can decide between different typologies of 'Aperitivo time' 1) Spritz 2) White wine 3) Prosecco 4) Coca cola 5) Water ( Nat/Sp.) The spritz is made with local white wines of Veneto: Pinot Grigio, Soave, or Prosecco. The bitter liqueur could be Aperol, Gran Classico, Select, Campari or Cynar. If you are in Venice and you ask for a spritz without specifying the bitter, you'll most likely be served a spritz with Select. Prosecco is a specific type of sparkling wine from the Valdobbiadene region of Veneto in the Northeast of Italy. It is a so-called D.O.C (G) white wine - with D.O.C (G) standing for 'Denominazione di origine controllata'. Translated into English, it this means it is a product with a controlled (and guaranteed) designation of origin. And actually, there are various types of Prosecco, as it comes in different styles, sweetness levels, quality grades, and different degrees of carbonation. In fact, Prosecco is available with no carbonation at all.
