We had such a great experience at AI BANKY during our visit to Burano! The seafood was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced. Everything we ordered was delicious, and you can really tell they take pride in the quality of their food. The inside is small but the air condition made it a perfect place to stop for lunch while exploring the colorful island. Even though they were very busy, the staff worked hard and kept things moving. If you’re looking for authentic seafood in Burano without spending a fortune, AI BANKY is a must-visit. We’d definitely come back the next time we’re in Burano!
Great seafood and friendly atmosphere The place isn’t very spacious since it’s mainly focused on takeaway, but we were lucky to get a table inside because it was a rainy day. The seafood mix was really delicious—crispy, well-cooked, and perfectly seasoned without too much salt. The vegetables were also very tasty. We also ordered white wine, which paired perfectly with the seafood. The staff were pleasant, cheerful, and genuinely happy to help, always with kindness and generous smiles. A really nice spot for a quick and tasty seafood meal.
Situated in a colorful piazza Ai Banky is a family run restaurant. Food is simple, freshly prepared. Decent house wine. We ordered mixed seafood and sardines, with the side of grilled polenta. All was good. As we were sitting outside and still finishing our meal, they were preparing to close, our umbrella was removed . Very Italian, but still not cool.
The mixed fried seafood was cooked to perfection which is amazing and rare to find. It had the right blend of different types of seafood. The fries were also excellent. The 400g portion was a lot of food! Glad I had the opportunity to eat here. Would totally recommend.
We discovered Al Banky in Burano by chance and we’re really glad we did! It’s a seafood and fried fish restaurant with very reasonable prices and really good quality. If you want a break from pizza and pasta and feel like enjoying some fresh, well-cooked fish, this place will definitely satisfy you. Be aware that there are only a few tables, so expect to wait a bit. We had to wait quite some time because the outdoor terrace was closed, even though it hadn’t rained all day. Otherwise, we would have gladly given 5 stars. That being said, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. In the end, we were very happy we waited, especially compared to other restaurants on the island. Definitely worth it!
