Went for lunch before catching a train. The restaurant vibe is nice and quite cute. The food was pretty good and I enjoyed experiencing the different ways fish are prepared in Venice. I was expecting the octopus appetizer to be an actual octopus leg not a baby octopus. And the squid ink pasta didn’t have much flavor which was disappointing.
Highly recommend this intimate authentic restaurant in Venice. The food was phenomenal (coursed menu only) - we got the Venetian appetizer, artichoke soufflé, spaghetti vongole, spaghetti al Nero, roast beef, and fried fish - with tiramisu to finish. All food was so fresh and authentic. The staff was very friendly with great food and wine recommendations!
Ended up going to this spot as we saw it while walking to our hotel, a true hidden gem tucked away a bit from the busy street. If you’re looking for a place that’s more unique dishes and not your typical touristy flavors then this place is for you. They make everything homemade and fresh, you can definitely tell that they put a lot of thought and care into creating high quality dishes. Everything we got was absolutely delicious (liver, pasta with sardines, raisin panna and the tiramisu blew my mind! 10/10 also they have an amazing selection of wines to choose from, no cocktails or spritz
We were in Venice for two nights and had dinner here on the first night and ended up coming back for dinner the next night because it was so good! This was definitely the best food we tried in Venice, everything was so delicious! We really loved the squid ink spaghetti, the sauce was so delicious. The gnocchi I had was so soft and light, some of the best I've ever had! They also have a large range of wines to choose from to enjoy with your meal. The wait staff were so friendly and welcoming, and were able to suggest us some wines that would go well with our meal. Thank you very much for the amazing meals and making us feel very welcome! If you're coming to Venice I would definitely recommend stopping here for a meal!
Had literally the best Italian food here in Venice at Osteria Al Cicheto! I came here twice and the food did not disappoint! The beef tartare and the pork cheek is literally to die for! And don’t get me started on the tiramisu and panna cotta, truly life changing homemade desserts! Was talking to the staff here and this place has been open since 1986 and it’s a family restaurant, no wonder the food is so authentic and good! The bigoli with lamb sauce is also delicious! Not to forget, the wines this restaurant offers is phenomenal, tastes so good and delicious and there is always a wine for everyone regardless of their preferences. I can’t wait to come back here one day in the future!
