The restaurant is wonderful. We had a family dinner in mid-July 2026, and I recommend sitting inside. Every table outside has fans and a great view, but the atmosphere inside is great. Great fish offerings - we had a seafood platter, squid ink pasta, salads. Excellent service, great food, friendly waiters. I recommend!
If you’re looking for the perfect lunch and happy hour in Venice, Ristorante Santa Maria Formosa is the place to be! The atmosphere is beautiful, the drinks are fantastic, and the food is absolutely delicious. It’s the perfect spot to relax after exploring the city. What made our experience truly unforgettable was our servers, , Omar and Shain. They provide the best service we’ve had anywhere in Italy—friendly, attentive, welcoming, and always making sure we had everything we needed. Their genuine hospitality made us feel like valued guests from the moment we arrived. If you’re visiting Venice, don’t miss lunch and happy hour at Ristorante Santa Maria Formosa. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!
The food is so delicious! Everything from main course to dessert! The service is attentive and location is one more pleasure , but for an eyes! Don’t miss this place if you are in Venice !
Had a great experience dining here for our first meal in Venice! We booked through TheFork and got a small discount. The food was delicious and service was amazing! Flor made check in so easy. Ashik was very attentive and helpful as our waiter. Shain was friendly and checked in on us during our meal. The linguine with cuttlefish black ink pasta sauce was savory and the noodles were al dente. The fried seafood plate was delicious and not oily. We still felt good after eating it. My wife’s pasta with asparagus and king prawns was ok. We thought king prawns would be bigger and it felt like it was lacking some flavor. The pistachio soufflé was warm and gooey. Overall we had a great time here and would recommend!
