The seafood and taste were exceptional, making it the best pasta meal we’ve ever had in Venice. The service was good. You simply have to see the picture to truly image the taste of the food. Note: There are evening mosquito issue in Venice, consider sitting inside. This is beyond the restaurant’s control and our sweet staff did brought out bug candle, but my kiddo and I were a feast to those 🦟. I would still come back in a heartbeat, but I will just sit inside. :)
We had a wonderful experience last week at Trattoria da Denis! The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh, authentic flavors and generous portions. A special thank you to Jada, who made our visit even more memorable. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. Her recommendations were excellent, and she made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. If you’re looking for great food, outstanding service, and perfect dining experience in Venice, I highly recommend Trattoria da Denis. We will definitely be back!
I want to brag about this place for a second. We have had delicious food in Venice, but nothing like this. We got the seafood special, and let me tell you, the food was so dang good, I'm going to be dreaming about it for years to come. We have had great service in Venice, but nothing like this. GIADA and her partner were fantastic. They made great recommendations, offered great service, and were on top of it the whole time. The service was absolutely top-tier. If we were here tomorrow, we would come back just to try more things on the menu. Highly recommend!
We went for a romantic dinner, with a warm atmosphere, and small but really cosy terrace. We took for starters: "prosciutto crude con burrito" and we had the "polpo scottato, su crema di patate di limone" which is normally served as a dish (tailor-made preparation). We took for the mains: "pappardelle alla bolognese" and "tagliolini neri con capesante, pomodoro fresco e olive". Which all were really tasty. For dessert we ended with a the best tiramisu we tasted in Venice. We thank Fridi very much for his kindness, his good mood, which was always with a smile and a very quality service!
Arrived to this place almost by chance, while walking towards the Arsenale. And man, am I glad we did. The food was excellent, and the staff so nice and accomodating. Both waitresses were attentive to my kid's allergies and made us feel welcome from the start. Kudos in particular to the brunette waitress (sorry, didn't get your name, but you know who you are) who not only spoke quite fluent Spanish (and, for what I could hear from the table next to us, English as well), but suggested some out of the menu dishes that were to die for. My wife and I shared the Caprese salad and the pasta with lobster, and for the kid we ordered a beef lasagna and a T-bone steak. I tried everything and, mamma mia! Obviously, the lasagna and the pasta were amazing, as is usual in italy. I dare say the lasagna was the best I've ever tasted, and the pasta was otherworldly, but the steak was also really good and tasty, and the Caprese was the perfect appetizer. For desserts, Tiramisu and Tartufo affogato with cofee. I had the latter, and wished I had ordered the tiramisu instead, but only because the tartufo is basically a chocolate ice-cream. As a coffee drinker, the quality of the coffee made the entire dessert for me... awesome! It is really difficult to not eat well in Venice, but I'd say Denis is the best place we ate at during our stay. Will recommend to anyone who wants to visit. Thanks for an unforgettable lunch experience
