Osteria Alla Staffa
Venice
Beoordelingen
We tried Osteria Alla Staffa on our last day in Venice. I’ve been looking to have a cuttlefish ink pasta before leaving the city, and the restaurant didn’t disappoint. The pasta was fantastic. But the highlight of the meal was the porcini ravioli that my partner had ordered. I’m not a ravioli person but I would have that ravioli any day. Rich with flavor but didn’t feel heavy despite the butter and cheese. For dessert, the chef recommended tiramisu and it was one of the best tiramisu we had while in Italy (and we had a lot of tiramisu in our time in Italy). The coffee was great as well (they have single origin beans as well that we didn’t try). Highly recommended for a great meal in Venice!
We had a last minute decision to do dinner here and it was very lovely. Very good pasta as well but wish the portions could have been bigger. Otherwise it was a good Venetian experience and would come back again to try other items on menu.
What an amazing place. The food was outstanding, the best in our Venice trip and one of the best I've had in Italy. The place is small and cozy and looks like a family traditional place, but when you order the food, you realize the classic dishes have a twist and have different textures, ingredients and flavours that you don't find in a regular traditional restaurant. The pasta is one of the best I've ever had. The flavours were so intense on everything. If I ever come back to Venice, this is the first place I want to come back to!
The spaghetti al nero di seppia is very delicious. It’s a small tavern vibe restaurant, 12 minutes away from the San Marco. Not very touristy, the price is fair and the staff is nice.
Osteria Alla Staffa is an outstanding spot in Venice. Everything we tried was excellent, featuring many Venetian classics done exceptionally well—from the black ink cuttlefish pasta and pasta with clams to the pasta frutti di mare and the mixed grilled seafood platter. Each dish was beautifully prepared, with fresh seafood and clean, balanced flavors that reflect traditional Venetian cooking at its best. The octopus salad was equally impressive: tender, well-seasoned, and beautifully balanced. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, adding to the relaxed, authentic atmosphere. A special touch we loved was that even the water is served in beautiful Murano glasses, which makes the experience feel uniquely Venetian. If you’re looking for exceptional seafood and a truly local dining experience, Osteria Alla Staffa is not to be missed.
