Osteria Ca' del Vento

Such a special place! We did not have a reservation, but they welcomed us to come back in 30 min and stayed late into the evening for us. You feel lucky just to sit amongst the others in this small, family owned restaurant. The monk fish and mixed seafood pasta were our favorite dishes. The lovely service and local feeling made it really stand out! Highly recommend! We had other great meals in Venice, but this was by far the best!
We had a delicious lunch for 4. The octopus was spectacular and it stood out from other great dishes. Tasty Aperol Spritz. Enjoyable chill atmosphere. Pleasant servers helped us choose our dishes. We had a couple of misunderstandings with an English language barrier.
Hospitality is superior. Food is well prepared and served with a delicate craft. Ambience is one of local comfort with attentiveness. Let eyes adjust when entering... The restaurant then becomes bright. Restroom is clean and cared for with respect, the flowers indicate thoughtfulness. Didn't dismiss dessert although feeling full. Highly recommend.
Osteria Ca' del Vento is a hidden gem in Venice’s Dorsoduro district, offering a cozy and authentic atmosphere away from the main tourist crowds. It’s an excellent choice for anyone looking for high-quality Italian cuisine that blends Venetian seafood with traditional Puglian flavors. The roasted octopus is a highlight—perfectly tender and served over a silky, flavorful puree. Their Filetto di manzo is juicy and well-prepared, accompanied by delicious rosemary-roasted potatoes. The Orecchiette with meatballs and the Fave e cicoria provide a comforting and authentic taste of southern Italy. The artichoke hearts make for a fresh and tender side dish that complements the meal perfectly.
Terrific! I love everything about this place. It was just near our Airbnb. we saw it on Google Maps and decided to try it. Oh boy, we were amazed! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was fantastic, and the tiramisu… truly heaven-sent. I’ve never had such a wonderful dining experience anywhere else. If you’re visiting Venice, don’t miss this place!
