I’m a solo traveler+foodie in Venice and walked past this restaurant in the morning. I was looking forward to it all day and did not disappoint!! The staff were incredibly kind and the food was incredible. Especially the tiramisu, best I’ve ever had! I’m tempted to come back tomorrow, thank you 🍝
Osteria Cicchetteria “Aea Canevassa” is a lovely restaurant that serves mostly seafood-based dishes which is quite typical of Venetian food. The outside seating was really pleasant with the waiter giving us a portable lamp to light our meal. As it was about to rain, the waiter let us move inside and helped us carry our wine glasses and bottle inside to accommodate us. I enjoyed the grilled salmon which came out nice and crispy served on top of a salad with fried potatoes and carrots. The food tasted really lovely mixing quite well with the wine we choose along with the meal.
I came here for lunch after getting very hungry while visiting a nearby exhibition and looking for a highly rated place to eat. I ordered the Vongole and an Aperol Spritz. The weather was lovely, and since it wasn’t too crowded, I was able to enjoy a peaceful meal outside by myself. The staff were friendly, and the whole place had a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I only wish I had had the chance to try some of the other dishes on the menu as well…
Highly recommended by two travelers from Taiwan. We had a wonderful Venetian-style dinner here. The fish of the day was fresh and delicious, and the seafood spaghetti was flavorful, with tender mussels. Even the Greek salad was surprisingly satisfying after days of pasta and bread. The tiramisu was the perfect ending to a delightful meal. Friendly service!
I had an amazing dining experience here! The seafood platter was incredibly fresh and flavorful – every bite felt like a taste of the ocean. The squid ink pasta was absolutely phenomenal, perfectly cooked with a rich, savory sauce that left me wanting more. The presentation was beautiful, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in the area and love seafood!
