Osteria Da Toni
Venice
Reseñas
Hailing from Northeast US, I had high expectations for local italian food which largely ended up as either just adequate or sub par. Osteria Da Toni was the best restaurant I visited across Rome, Florence and Venice. Everything from the service to the view of the canal, and of course the food was incredible. We ordered the sardines, Branzino, seafood risotto, and most of the desserts (our favorite was the ricotta pistachio). Highly recommend the Branzino. Amidst a surplus of tourist traps, this place was an absolute gem. Definitely a cozier vibe (which we preferred in the moment). The host and our server were extremely kind and accommodating and prices were more than fair. Going to be thinking about this place for a while. Enjoy before it becomes mainstream.
Osteria da Toni was a short walk from Hotel Palazzo Veneziano and turned out to be a perfect late-afternoon lunch spot. They had decent vegetarian options, and the service was very nice. The owner was especially helpful, pleasant, and welcoming. The patio seating was great and made the meal even more enjoyable. Overall, a convenient and comfortable place to stop for lunch if you are staying nearby or walking around this part of Venice.
Beautiful atmosphere by the water, delicious pasta, and the prosecco paired perfectly with the meal. The service was also incredibly warm and welcoming. Having dinner there by the canal became one of my favourite memories from Venice :)
The service is absolutely fantastic and so friendly. We ordered the bruschetta, lasagna and spaghetti and all three were extremely delicious!! We ended up coming here twice it was so good. Perfect location, right by the canal and quiet. Would 100% recommend and would definitely return. Also the spritz were perfect!
Another one of those unpretentious osteria outside of the tourist hotspots that serves tasty affordable food with friendly service. The fritto Misto was one of the best I’ve tried. The place was filled with locals on their lunch break. The wine was lovely and I was given a free panna cotta. If you are in the area check this place out.
