Great food and great atmosphere. After a long day of visiting San Marco’s square, it was nice to sit down and have a quiet dinner. The music was calm Bolero music which was perfect. We enjoyed the cheese wheel pasta served at the table. The food came really fast as well.
My husband had the spaghetti with seafood and lobster, I had the squid ink spaghetti. My daughters had the cacio pepe and spaghetti carbonara. So far it's been the best pasta restaurant we've had here in Italy! Luis made the cacio pepe right in front of us and made it a great experience! Alex made sure we were always taken care of! The music and ambience was nice and relaxing. We left very satisfied with the food and service. I highly recommend this place when you visit Venice!
This restaurant was absolutely authentic and amazing. The atmosphere is light and cozy, the staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. Our waiter was funny and did not upsell us. We were grateful for the AC in the sweltering heat and this family owned business deserves more than 5 stars. The quality of the food is out of this world and I would recommend the table side cacio e pepe is to die for!
Incredible experience. We cannot say enough about this gem we stumbled upon. This family owned business has wonderful service. We took the waiters recommendations and were not led astray. We went with local seafood dishes (like pasta with clams, red sauce seafood pasta with lobster on daily special). The seafood was so delicious, fresh, and cooked perfectly! We also had the cacio e Pepe (table side) and carbonara on the heavier side and they were DIVINE. Two consistently delicious meals and honestly, we will be back on our next trip to Venice. We will think about these meals for a long time to come. The atmosphere is cozy and tucked away from the busy streets and to some people’s detriment they won’t stumble into this small spot. We want to keep this secret to ourselves but we also want to support them so they are around for a long, long time to come. The house made limoncello is the perfect ending to the meal. Chefs kiss.
We had a wonderful dining experience at Dallo Zio near San Marco in Venice. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, relaxing, and genuinely friendly, making it the perfect place to unwind after exploring the city. For dinner, one of us had the meat bolognese followed by the chocolate soufflé, while the other enjoyed the tuna pizza and finished with the tiramisu. Every dish was absolutely incredible—rich, flavorful, and clearly prepared with great care. The bolognese was hearty and perfectly balanced, the tuna pizza was unique and delicious, and both desserts were outstanding, especially the light, indulgent chocolate soufflé and the classic creamy tiramisu. We paired our meal with a Merlot, which complemented the food beautifully. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience with amazing food, a relaxed atmosphere, and very friendly service. We would highly recommend Dallo Zio to anyone visiting Venice and looking for a memorable meal near San Marco.
