A real gem tucked away in a Florence side street! We had the truffle fettuccine and squid ink pasta — both rich and delicious. Paired well with two beers. The atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. One thing to note: when paying, the staff brought up a tip, and we ended up adding one without really thinking it through. In hindsight, that felt a bit off. Overall the prices were on the higher side too. That said, the food itself was genuinely good. Aside from the price, everything else was great. Recommended if you love truffle pasta!
The Service here was stellar from the minute we walked in. They treated us like we owned the restaurant. The burrata upon being cut just was aooo creamy. Perfect, Hugo to go with. Even the bread plate was delicious. But the piece of resistance. What’s the lobster carbonara ever so tender lobster with the perfect amount of cream and the pasta. Just perfectly mean. The desserts was so good. I can’t even begin to tell you. I love them all.
Our hotel recommended this restaurant, and in a city like Venice, where so many restaurants cater primarily to tourists rather than food lovers, finding a truly memorable meal can be a challenge. Thankfully, this is not one of those places. Instead, it is a genuine hidden gem that delivers exceptional food. We arrived without a reservation and were incredibly lucky to get a table, as the restaurant was nearly full. We started with the octopus to share, and it was one of the best octopus dishes we have ever had – perfectly cooked and full of flavor. For our main course, we had the truffle pasta prepared tableside in a Parmesan cheese wheel and finished with freshly shaved truffles. This dish will live in our hearts for a long time. As simple as it sounds, it ranks among the top three pasta dishes we have ever eaten. Our waiter also recommended an excellent Prosecco that paired beautifully with the meal without breaking the bank. The service was outstanding from start to finish, the food was exceptional, and the atmosphere was wonderful. If you are looking for an authentic dining experience away from the tourist traps, this restaurant is a true hidden gem and an absolute must-visit in Venice.
It was pleasant experience. We had a quick dinner here with my wife. Enjoyed signature pasta with truffles and tagliatelle with beef and pork sause. It was tasty. While a bit pricey, maybe. But definitely worth trying. Reservation is required. Though we spent here 30 minutes all together, they didn't let us in the day before.
