From the moment we arrived, everything about this restaurant exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, making it the perfect place to enjoy an exceptional meal. A special thank you goes to Davide, whose service was simply outstanding. He took wonderful care of us throughout the evening, offering thoughtful recommendations and selecting two excellent wines that perfectly complemented our meal. Even more impressive, both wines were in a very reasonable price range and were absolutely superb. The cuisine was truly remarkable. Every dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and clearly crafted with great attention to detail. The quality of the kitchen went far beyond what we had anticipated. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant—not only for its beautiful setting and warm ambience, but above all for its outstanding cuisine and impeccable service. Thanks to Davide and the entire team, we had a memorable dining experience. I would happily return and encourage anyone visiting the area to experience it for themselves.
This is a place to go if you want good (slightly unusual) food and excellent service. I dined solo and I chose to have a pasta course and a meat course… and I was too full to have dessert. The lamb gnocchi was good. The beef filet and Caesar course wasn’t my favorite… there was too much sauce going on or somehow combined the ingredients just tasted like mustard. Lettuce soaked with mustard. Whatever they are doing is drowning the taste of the lettuce. Their bread and petit fours were excellent. Amouse bouche of rice and peas was not much flavor. The wine was excellent. I would pass this restaurant recommendation on to friends who are coming to Venice. It’s a good experience overall.
The food sucks The starter with the green beans was not fully cooked, which made me throw up right after I had it. The cuttlefish noodle is the worst which tasted like sea water-very salty and fishy. All the other dishes are nothing special but much more expensive than other restaurants. The dessert was too sweet. I really recommend that anyone that used to Asian food never go to this restaurant. The taste is so weird!!!
We ate here last minute after asking our hotel front desk for recommendations. We ended up having a 3 hour tour of Italy's food history and culture. Paolo Fragiacomo served us and provided attentive service. You can sense his passion for food and Its connection to the people. Too many tourists have made Venice an outdoor air mall and are passing by chain restaurants the zombie cruise industry has created. Instead why not invest in learning about Venetian food and wine? Yes it's a bit on the pricier side but you only live once and they help local artists and I sensed want to teach patrons about local food and drink. We ended up having 3 courses and buying the beautiful glass water bottles and olive oil. He even gave us a beautiful umbrella for 2 to keep after since it was raining outside. Ended our trip with one of the most memorable dining experience I've had.
I went to Bistrot de Venise for a truly special, authentic Venetian meal. My group was seated right next to a window where we could watch the gondolas pass outside - it was so magical to watch! I started with a Bistrot de Venise spritz that was one of the best I had in Venice. We then ordered the historical tasting menu that had incredible dishes, and I highly recommend ordering this menu with its wine pairings. The sommelier, Nicola, was incredible and explained to us with great passion and detail each pairing. Every course was delicious and it was so fun to eat recipes that were traditional and authentic. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to add a culinary highlight on a trip to Venice!
