I don’t say this lightly: this was, without a doubt, the best meal I’ve ever had in my entire life. We walked 30 minutes just to eat here after hearing amazing things, and somehow it still exceeded every expectation. The one dish I had been dreaming about was the Gorgonzola, Speck & Truffle pasta, but when we arrived, we were told it had sold out. Since the restaurant was going to be closed the next day and we were leaving Venice the day after, I thought I’d never get the chance to experience it. That’s when Angela, the manager, completely changed our evening. She went to speak with the chef and asked if they could make one final exception just for us. They did. That single act of kindness turned what would have been a great dinner into one of the most unforgettable dining experiences of my life. The pasta was simply indescribable. Every bite was perfection. The flavors, the texture, the freshness… I genuinely didn’t want it to end. I’ve eaten at incredible restaurants around the world, and nothing has ever come close to this. We also ordered the Bruschetta No. 3 and the special meat of the day, and they were just as spectacular. Every single dish was cooked to absolute perfection. You could taste the passion and care in every bite. What truly sets this restaurant apart isn’t just the food. It’s the people. Angela didn’t just manage the restaurant. She made us feel like family. She sat with us, shared recommendations, chatted with us, and treated us with a warmth and hospitality that you rarely experience. She went above and beyond to make sure we didn’t leave Venice without trying the dish we’d come for, and that’s something I’ll never forget. To Angela, the chef, and the entire team, thank you. You didn’t just serve us dinner. You gave us a memory we’ll cherish for the rest of our lives. If you’re in Venice, don’t think twice. Walk 30 minutes. Walk an hour if you have to. This isn’t just a restaurant. It’s an experience. And for me, it was the greatest meal I’ve ever had. ❤️🍝🇮🇹
La Corte 1642 is a must try in Venice. It's a hidden gem w fresh and delicious food at great prices. The staff is fantastic and welcoming and they have a nice selection of local wine. Must try the pastas and pay for the " fresh pasta" upgrade . A few Euros but totally worth it. Thank you Angela for a lovely time and all the recommendations.
Venice can be very disappointing when it comes to food. Our visit in La Corte saved my trip! This place is authentic, friendly and warm. Angela the Hostess is that kind of woman Italy can be proud of: she treats you like the most important guest in the world- willing to give good advices and even a kiss if you please… The food is simply delicious- all Venetian and Italian classics served with a twist. Be careful! portions are huge!!! Black angus carpaccio, sardines and pastas were top notch (especially gorgonzola/speck/truffle- unforgettable). Both classic desserts tiramisu and panna cotta - light, buttery, delicious. The character of this place is unpretentious and welcoming- definitely worth going. For us - a must in Venice.
An absolute treat! Loved everything I ate. I started with a creamy cod dish then had shrimp pasta for my mains and finished off with Tiramisu with Pistachio! Every bite was delicious, service was impeccable. Loved the ambience! I highly recommend if you’re in the Venice area.
Saw this place online and had to come try it out, it's tucked away down a narrow street. The food was amazing, we picked dishes based on chef Max's recommendations and they didn't disappoint. The waitress Lisa was attentive and full of life, it made for a fun experience. So much so, we will be back tomorrow night for dinner!
