We ended our trip to Italy in Venice and wanted an authentic Venetian dinner. Osteria Bakan was right next to our hotel. This place was AMAZING! The Caprese with buffalo mozzarella, the bread, and the tagliatelle were unbelievable! Great atmosphere, great service, and great food. No better way to end our trip. Would highly recommend!
Arrived in this part of Venice not knowing anything or anyone and our apartment happened to be above this lovely friendly place. They looked after our bags spoke a little, but enough English as we only knew a teeny bit of Italian. Food all cooked to order very authentic and tasty. The staff were really friendly and happy to see us. Highly recommended.
The seafood we ordered was fresh and delicious, the service was excellent, and most importantly, the place felt authentic and truly Italian, away from the usual tourist spots in Venice.
Absolutely worth a visit. The seafood was succulent and full of flavor, and the handmade pasta was perfectly cooked. The mussels were outstanding — some of the best I’ve ever had. A great spot for anyone who appreciates top-notch cooking and quality ingredients.
