The panoramic views of Venice from the rooftop restaurant were truly exceptional. However, the culinary experience was somewhat inconsistent. My seabass was overcooked, and the accompanying vegetables lacked seasoning. The appetizer sampler presented a mixed experience, with the shrimp being a particular highlight. The cheese platter, while acceptable, could be enhanced with a more diverse selection of fruits. Given the premium pricing, the overall quality of the cuisine did not fully align with our expectations.
We were really disappointed with our dinner here. The restaurant with the view was closed and looked like it had not been open for quite a while. The prices were high, which would’ve been fine if the food had been good — but it just wasn’t. I ordered the eggplant dish and it came out as an overcooked blob with like tomato paste here and there. Two people in our group ordered the filet, and both said it was not good meat. We also ordered cicchetti, and instead of actual prepared cicchetti, they brought out a few toppings and told us to “put it on the bread” ourselves. It felt more like DIY snacks than something from a restaurant on the Grand Canal. After dinner we ordered cappuccinos, and I’m pretty sure they were instant coffee. Definitely not what you expect at this price point. The service didn’t help either — the waiters repeatedly ignored my husband. He was basically invisible the entire meal. Overall, the experience felt overpriced, underwhelming, and not at all what we hoped for in Venice.
No music, gross ambiance. Food looked better than it tasted, they served instant coffee which was revolting. Ordered an obvious shareable appetizer and they served it in front of me, though there's nowhere to share food on their awkward table setups. Avoid this tourist trap.
