We had the most fantastic service and food here last night!! Our host, the owner, immediately made us feel welcome and had a great sense of humor as he chatted with us about life, his job, the Italian way of dining. Piano, piano! His suggestions were superb- I’m so glad I trusted him. I had a mixed seafood black pasta dish. All of the seafood was so sweet and fresh (picked that morning by himself at the Rialto market). My husband had the Maccheronici with ragu, which they simmer for over three hours- he said it was awesome! At the end of our meal he insisted on drinking his homemade limoncello with us- it was divine! Overall, a special experience with a kind soul and absolutely lovely food!! Grazie mille!
Alla Corte Ristorante is truly a hidden gem in Venice. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the warmth of the atmosphere and the elegance of the place. Every detail has been carefully considered, creating an authentic and welcoming experience that perfectly reflects the charm of Venice. What made our visit especially memorable was the attention and care shown by the host. Their passion for hospitality was evident in every interaction, making us feel genuinely welcome and valued throughout the evening. And, of course, the food was outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor, showcasing high-quality ingredients and expert preparation. Every bite was a delight. If you are looking for an exceptional dining experience away from the crowds, Alla Corte is a place not to be missed. A true hidden gem where outstanding food, thoughtful service, and a wonderful atmosphere come together perfectly.
This was the best pasta I’ve had in Venice! The service was incredibly kind — when he noticed we were feeling hot, he even turned on the air conditioning for us. You can really taste that the pasta is handmade, and the seafood was extremely fresh. It was the best, warmest, and most delicious experience I’ve ever had. Please give it a chance and try it!
I’m sorry to say this was one of my worst experiences in Venice. First, there was no Wi-Fi and absolutely no mobile signal inside the restaurant. As a foreigner, I had to blindly guess what I was ordering from a menu I couldn’t read. Second, the portion of pasta was ridiculously small—just a few strands, not even enough for a light appetite. Third, the service was extremely slow. This was the slowest service I experienced during my entire trip in Italy. To make things worse, **all the food was served cold**. I seriously questioned myself—are cold dishes a specialty in Venice? The pasta, the fried food, the steak… everything was cold. And the prices were not cheap at all… I want to emphasize that this review is completely honest. My friends and I were all deeply disappointed with this meal.
Authentic Venetian gem hidden away from the tourist crowds. The best pasta al dente I’ve had in Venice — perfectly cooked, balanced flavors, and clearly made with care. You can tell this is a kitchen that respects tradition rather than rushing food for volume. The service was honest and attentive (they even returned my tip thinking it was change — rare integrity!). If you’re looking for real Italian food in Venice, not tourist-style overcooked pasta, this is the place. Quiet, intimate atmosphere and absolutely worth finding.
