Asked the gondolieri for the best restaurant recommendation near our hotel and this was it! Delicious dinner, wine and dessert. Exceptional service and beautiful atmosphere and ambience.
On my first day in the city, I came here for a solo dinner after spending the day exploring the Venice Biennale. I ordered Vongole along with a glass of wine. The pasta was beautifully presented and just as delightful in taste. Since the restaurant wasn’t too busy, I was able to enjoy a peaceful meal on my own. I especially loved the interior, which made the whole experience even more memorable. If I ever return to Venice, I’d love to come back and bring other people here with me!
I’m back in Venice for the second time. I first visited two years ago, and I just had to return to D’Carla because this is still the best risotto I’ve ever tasted. Highly recommend it, absolutely delicious! 😋🇮🇹🍽️
I met Giacomo two years ago in Mentawai and he told me about his restaurant. So some weeks ago I finally made it to venice and to Osteria da Carla. What to say.. All in all it was delicious from the starter to the end. Thanks to Giacomo, Michela and the whole team! Your restaurant is unique and always worth to come! 🫶🥰
As often happens in my travels, the best places are the ones I stumble upon by pure luck, and this spot was no exception. Our original restaurant couldn’t accommodate a table for five, but this place welcomed us and made room without hesitation. The space is small but cozy, and the food was truly exceptional. The standout dish was the octopus: easily the best I’ve ever had. It was incredibly tender, almost melting in your mouth, which is impressive considering how tough and chewy octopus can be when not cooked properly. We also ordered the ravioli, bao, lamb chops, and cacio e pepe, and every dish was thoroughly enjoyed by our group. We selected a bottle of white wine that was so good we ended up ordering a second. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable evening for all of us.
