Our best meal in Venice (and Italy) by a mile! The restaurant is very intimate and the menu changes often. Every dish was delicious and so was the wine pairing. You can’t go wrong. We had the meat course and the seafood course; both were equally excellent and it would be hard for me to choose which was better. The desserts are exquisite!

The place felt intimate and enjoyable. It’s a small space, but the chef and his wife were very nice people. Welcoming and friendly. They are the owners themselves. The meal was an experience, it felt personal and we felt the love in their dishes. The set menu had great options and of course their tiramisu was phenomenal! It had a special taste to it! We both had the same set menu but chose different desserts. It was an unforgettable evening and the authentic dishes is a must try! I recommend to book a reservation ahead when it’s a busy season in Venice🌷

Tiny hole-in-the-wall eatery run by a husband-and-wife team serving modern interpretations of Neapolitan-Venetian cuisine. You can chose among 4 3-course menus: meat, seafood, vegetarian, and a chef’s choice, but customization is possible. Loved the risotto of white asparagus and prawn, the pork ribs, the grilled octopus, and the grilled sea bream with friarielli vegetables. The desserts are wonderful too; we particularly enjoyed the orange blossom ricotta cake, the rum baba, and the chocolate torte. Very nice wine list. Warm, friendly service, and the chef comes out to explain each course to you. Bookings essential as space is limited.

Completely blown away. The best meal we had in Venice by far. Tucked away from the crowds, the restaurant feels less like a dining room and more like being welcomed into a family’s home. With only seven tables, the atmosphere is warm, calm, and entirely unhurried, creating a rare reprieve from the tourist crush elsewhere in the city. The intimacy of the space sets the tone for everything that follows. That same intimacy is what makes the attention to detail and personalized service so extraordinary. The chef and waitstaff stopped by continuously to check in and explain the thinking behind each dish, something only possible in a setting this small. If you visit their website beforehand, the menu may appear limited, and we arrived with some anxiety about what to expect, since the full details aren’t published online. That, it turns out, is by design: the menu is updated constantly to make the most of the freshest local ingredients. You select two courses from a set of categories — vegetarian, fish, meat, or “special” — each offering several options, which gave us the freedom to assemble a multi-course meal exactly to our own tastes. My wife can admittedly be a picky eater, but she had no trouble tailoring her meal precisely to her preferences. The chef’s presence reinforces the care, thought, and family tradition behind every plate, and his passion comes through in both the experience and the food itself. If you are lucky enough to secure a reservation, go. You will not regret it.

Absolutely incredible dining experience at Al Covino. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the owners and immediately felt welcomed. The restaurant itself is quaint, intimate, and tucked off the beaten path with small seating that creates such a charming and authentic Venetian atmosphere. The music, ambiance, and attention to detail throughout the evening were simply perfect. The food and presentation were truly Michelin-level. The chefs personally brought dishes to the table and checked in throughout the meal, which made the experience feel incredibly special and personal. Every course was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We enjoyed outstanding risotto, handmade pasta with pork, sea bass with farfalle, and a 24-hour braised short rib over potatoes that was unbelievably tender and flavorful. To finish the evening, the chef selected desserts for us, including an incredible chocolate cake and tiramisu that were the perfect ending to the meal. Not a single morsel was left behind. What impressed us most was the complete experience — not just the food, but the hospitality, presentation, pacing, and care that went into every detail of the evening. For the level of cuisine and service provided, the pricing was very reasonable. Love, love, loved this place and would absolutely return anytime we are back in Venice.
