An authentic local gem on Murano! Exceptional seafood and fantastic value. Located on the island of Murano, this place feels like a genuine neighborhood spot run by and for locals—a very refreshing contrast to the overly touristy vibe on the main island of Venice. The food was outstanding: Fried Calamari: Super crispy and fresh! A squeeze of lemon brought out the rich, natural seafood flavor perfectly. Seafood Pasta: Absolute perfection. The pasta itself was so packed with rich, savory seafood flavor that it made the dish a total highlight. Crab Meat Pasta in Shell: Truly top-tier! Every single bite was filled with generous, juicy chunks of real crab meat. The service was exceptionally warm, welcoming, and hospitable. Considering the incredible food quality and the fantastic location, the prices were extremely fair and reasonable. Highly recommended if you are visiting Murano and looking for authentic local Italian food!
Great place down a little side alley way. All of us had really good meals and service was good too.
Delicious and well presented food. The wait staff know how to rush you to leave even when the restaurant is not crowded even during lunch time. The various wait staff continue to interrupt your meal obviously wanting you to quickly eat so they can grab the items from the table. The wait staff are professional and know how to grab food off of the table before you are finished. The wait staff need to ask before grabbing. It seemed like an imposition to ask for a dessert menu. All this with several tables available and no queue/line waiting to be seated.
I ordered the shellfish pizza, and unfortunately, it was a mixed experience. The mussels were overcooked, which made them quite tough, while the lobster was just okay and didn’t really stand out. On a positive note, the seabass was perfectly cooked and definitely the highlight of the meal. The sides, however, were underwhelming—low on seasoning and lacking flavor overall. Service was also disappointing, as it felt almost non-existent and inattentive throughout the visit. Overall, some elements were good, but the inconsistency in food quality and lack of service made the experience fall short.
Ideal location, just off the canal in a small enclosed piazza that the terrace dominates. We were blissfully seated in the said terrace but please know that the interior space is even bigger. We met the owner while looking at their hotel and he pointed us to his restaurant. I do not think it’s a pizza place by looking at the pictures however, both the octopus salad and/or the spaghetti Vongole were impeccable. The salad was well seasoned, ingredients were fresh and smartly selected. The Vongole was generous, the pasta perfectly cooked and food taste of wine and garlic. I would reorder both these dishes. Simple stuff, but well executed. I would go back to try the sardines. Service was attentive, warm and friendly with a sensible dose of intervention, very professional. Good value for money in a place that feels authentic. Ideal for lunch. €62 with Prosecco and service. Recommended. P.S.: if this review was helpful, please leave us a 👍, thank you 🙏🏼
