Service is wonderful. We asked Marco for recommendations. We had the assorted fried fishes (a secondary dish) and the appetizer cicchetto. Both were over the top. I have eaten all over the world and this is as good as I have had anywhere!
This restaurant, which was close to our hotel, is a bit tucked away and easily walked past. We're glad we stopped to check the menu and decided to come back for dinner. My husband and I both loved the food. We shared the mixed seafood starter for 2, then had grilled octopus - the most tender octopus I've ever eaten - and rolled stuffed seabass - a large fillet and beautifully cooked. Everything, including the wine, was delicious. The service was attentive and friendly. It was also much better value than many other restaurants we looked at.
Absolute gem. Wonderful meal with the rare and deeply civilised combination of generous portions and genuinely good food, a pairing many restaurants now treat as mythological. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the setting was perfect, being tucked away from the relentless hubbub and tourist theatre around St Mark’s Square while still feeling unmistakably Venetian. Reasonably priced by Venice standards, with lovely outside seating that made the most of the beautiful weather. A relaxed, elegant atmosphere and exactly the sort of place you hope to stumble upon in Venice but usually don’t. Highly recommended.
Absolutely amazing experience—highly recommend! The rombo fish was incredibly delicious, tender and juicy. Fiorentina to Service was outstanding and very friendly; the staff even complimented us all, The atmosphere is great too—spacious, bright and comfortable. One of the best restaurants we’ve had in Venice!
We had a family lunch at this restaurant on one of the main thoroughfares to St. Mark's Square from the station. The pastas we had were very tasty - we had the tagliatelle with veal ragu, a spaghetti amatriciana, a bigoli scolio and a strozzapreti norma. The parmigiana melanzane was also very tasty. The gran fritto pesce we tried was not quite as good. The service was very attentive, friendly and helpful.
